Speed Control for Electric GSEs by ADVEEZ

ADVEEZ Turtle Mode System is an electronic speed control solution designed to manage the speed of electric baggage tractors automatically upon entering and exiting baggage galleries (or any other designated SLOW speed pathway or area)...

Problem
Airport have had to resort to installing speed bumps inside baggage galleries to reduce accidents and excessive speeding by baggage tractor operators. This solution does reduce the target problems, but it has side effects including slower pickup and delivery of bags, and more stress on baggage tractors and towed bag carts from the bumps and speeding between bumps. In particular, in a specific French airport, had an ongoing issue with accidents inside their baggage gallery caused by excessive baggage tractor speed. This caused airport management to install speed bumps. Although this did reduce accidents, the GSE handlers were not happy because the speed bumps where causing more maintenance on baggage tractors and carts, bags were occasionally falling off the carts, and bag pickup and delivery times increased. Ultimately, neither GSE handlers/operators nor airport management were happy with this solution.

ADVEEZ solution
ADVEEZ Turtle Mode System is an electronic speed control solution designed to manage the speed of electric baggage tractors automatically upon entering and exiting baggage galleries (or any other designated SLOW speed pathway or area).

System configuration
ADVEEZ Turtle Mode System comprises a radio frequency receiver module that is installed on electric baggage tractors and corresponding radio transmitters installed on the entrances and exits of the baggage gallery. When the receiver module detects the baggage gallery entrance signal it automatically activates the baggage tractor's motor controller's "Turtle Mode" immediately slowing dow the tractor. When the tractor leaves the gallery, it detects the exit signal and activates the tractor's normal speed mode.
At Marseille Airport, Airport management and GSE Handling companies came together and agreed to install the ADVEEZ Turtle Mode System as it addressed both parties' concerns. Airport management removed the speed bumps and handlers had automatic speed control that was both easy to install and cost effective.

Adveez Launches Industry's only Watch for Wander Resident Safety

Adveez announces the launch of its new Wander Resident Watch Tag, an advanced technological innovation designed to assist health care facilities reduce the elopement of wandering residents through doors, hallways, and elevators.

Toulouse, France - January 25, 2016 - Adveez announces the launch of its new Wander Resident Watch Tag, an advanced technological innovation designed to assist health care facilities reduce the elopement of wandering residents through doors, hallways, and elevators.

The new Adveez Watch Tag, available in multiple colors, is the industry's first wander resident
tag designed into an attractive digital wrist Watch.

"Our customers have requested a wander resident tag that looks less institutional to support the
objective of making their facilities feel more like home," said Karim Ben Dhia, CEO of Adveez.

Current wander resident wrist tags are perceived as electronic monitoring devices in the eyes of the residents and their loved ones because of their appearance. Residents’ loved ones want the benefit of wander protection but with more aesthetically pleasing hardware.
"We collaborated with a French watch maker and integrated our existing electronics to support this market-driven request," Ben Dhia added. “Initial feedback has been extremely positive from facilities managers and their constituent residents.”
The Watch Tag builds on Adveez’s core technology of true 3D detection which provides precise, consistent detection that memory care facilities can count on to improve resident safety. The Adveez Watch Tag is part of a complete wander management system offering that solves longstanding issues with competitors’ products. Assisted living facility managers are demanding better performance, improved ease of use, and lower cost. The system itself includes Wireless door controllers that  support both wander management and secure access, and hands-free staff tags for the simplest system interaction. Adveez is breathing new life into the current market’s stale technology with a combination of hardware, software, and features that make for a very comprehensive wander management and perimeter security solution.
